Dr. Eva Orsmond (MD, MPH), originally from Finland, qualified as a Medical Doctor from Pavia University, Italy in 1990. After working in a number of countries (Bangladesh & Namibia) to get experience and further qualification as Master of Public Health, she settled in Ireland and opened her weight loss clinics in 2001.
Orsmond clinics is a private specialist service where Dr. Eva Orsmond and her professional team offer a medically supervised approach to the treatment of overweight, obesity and related diseases. Dr. Eva and her team specialise in Very Low Calorie and Carbohydrate Ketogenic Diets (VLCKD) for weight management and reversal of Type 2 Diabetes.

Public figure in media
Dr. Eva first became well known in Ireland in 2007 as a medical expert television presenter in a hugely popular TV programme Operation Transformation, broadcasted RTE. Her passionate, no-nonsense approach to the contestants on this public weight-loss journey brought the awareness of her services in Ireland.
After 6 seasons in this popular weight-loss programme, she became a regular face on TV, presenting more documentary programmes highlighting the unhealthy lifestyle and dietary habits in Ireland. The Sugar Crash, The Medication Nation, Ireland’s Health Divide, Meet the Family and Live Better Longer. She continues to be involved in TV, radio and is regularly featured in the Irish magazines and newspapers.
On the lighter side, Dr. Eva is also featured as a celebrity chef on The Restaurant programme, Take on the Take Away and did her TV debut of live dancing in the irish Dancing with the Stars.
